I'm a real oatmeal cookie monster... I only counted, as well as January 2018, I have shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes along with you. Eep! Have you tried any of these yet? (? The remaining part of the cookie dough's sweetness comes from a different natural ingredient... Pure maple syrup (like this!) . You would like the sort that comes directly from maple trees, which is generally sold in thin glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Forget the pancake syrup and sugar-free syrup!

The raisins add much more sweetness! The freshly bought, extra plump, perfectly tender ones are ideal... But if you have elderly, somewhat dried out carbohydrates (hmm... it seems silly to explain dried fruit as dried out! ) , that's okay!

Just add them to a microwave-safe bowland put water on top until they're completely covered. Seal plastic wrap over the surface, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you let the peppers sit while mixing together the cookie dough, then this little hint hydrates them so they're exceptionally succulent --and that makes a difference in these cookies once they're baked!

Yields: 15 cookies

These oatmeal biscuits are soft, chewy, and full of banana flavor! The recognizable comfy spices and plump blueberries make these even more irresistible. They will keep for at least one week if stored in an airtight container in the fridge --should they last that long!


1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if essential and quantified like that )

3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or fermented * flour (quantified like that )

1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt



1/4 cup (63g) mashed banana

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup

1/4 cup (40g) raisins

In a medium bowl, whisk together the yogurt, milk, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowlwhisk together the butter or coconut oil, mashed banana, and vanilla. Add the flour mixture, stirring only until incorporated.

Preheat the oven to 325°F, and line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.

With a spoon and spatula, drop the cookie dough into 15 curved scoops on the sheet, and apply to the desired depth and width using Banana Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - Averie Cooks a spatula. Bake at 325°F for about 10-12 minutes.

Notes: It is extremely important to quantify both the wheat and oats properly employing this technique or a kitchen scale. (? That's the one I own and adore!) Too much of either would dry out of the cookies and leave them cakey rather than chewy.
